Mentoring

We offer an informal mentoring scheme to support law students and legal aid lawyers in the early stages of their careers. If you would like a mentor who could give you advice or simply talk to you about life in practice, e-mail us at ylalmentoring@googlemail.com and we will try to find someone suitable. Please state in your e-mail what stage of your career you are at, what areas of practice you are interested in and the sort of advice you need.

Note: our mentors are able to provide informal advice on writing CVs and covering letters, but if you are affiliated with a college or university you should use their careers service as your first port of call. Their advisors will be trained professionally to advise on this.

If you would like to become a mentor please e-mail us at ylalmentoring@googlemail.com to enquire about how to join the scheme.
